Aspire People is recruiting confident and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants and Mentors to work with pupils across primary school settings in Manchester and surrounding areas.

The role involves supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional difficulties, building positive relationships, and helping students engage with learning and school routines. Experience in youth work, mentoring, SEND roles or related backgrounds is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Recent UK-based school or comparable child-focused support experience within the last two years.
• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural, emotional or additional needs.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Confidence setting boundaries while maintaining positive relationships.
• Strong communication skills and safeguarding awareness.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils who experience behavioural or emotional difficulties.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with children.
• Encourage emotional regulation and appropriate behaviour.
• Help pupils engage with classroom activities and school routines.
• Support individual behaviour strategies and intervention plans.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and social skills.
• Work alongside teachers and pastoral or SEND teams.
