Overview

Long Term Futures are looking for a passionate and skilled Behaviour Mentor to join an inclusive and welcoming primary SEMH team. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to for somebody with a sporting background who would like to gain experience as a Behaviour Mentor.

Location & Details

Location: New Basford, NG7. Nearby to City Centre, Sherwood, Hyson Green, Beeston

Day Rate: £(Apply online only)

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Start Date: September 2025. Immediate for the right candidate.

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Responsibilities
  • Deliver behaviour and wellbeing support strategies throughout the school day
  • Lead de-escalation and regulation activities during periods of dysregulation
  • Mentor students through restorative conversations and daily check-ins
  • Support teachers with classroom routines and transitions
  • Contribute to behaviour plans and positive handling protocols (training provided)
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • A compassionate and motivated individual with a strong commitment to student welfare and success.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting young people in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Have experience with Team Teach and Mappa.
  • A problem-solver with a positive approach to behaviour management and student engagement.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
