Are you into sports, coaching, or mentoring young people? Got a background in boxing, football, or youth work? Use your skills to make a real impact in education.

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for confident, energetic individuals to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in Rochdale's pupil referral service. These full-time roles start in September and are likely to become permanent.

The Role:

  • Support students aged 11-18 who need structure, motivation, and strong role models
  • Use your experience from sports or coaching to engage students and build trust
  • Help manage behaviour and keep students focused in class
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to keep them on track with learning
  • Be part of a tight-knit team that's all about making a difference

What You'll Need:

  • Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth groups, clubs, boxing gyms, etc.)
  • Patience, confidence, and a calm approach to behaviour
  • A positive mindset and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  • A team-first attitude - we've got each other's backs

Extra Points If You Have:

  • A background in boxing, football, martial arts, or sports coaching
  • Experience mentoring teens or working in community settings
  • TA qualifications (but not essential - we'll train you)
