Exciting Opportunity: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor for a special school in Tower Hamlets. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their full potential. Previous experience in an SEN setting is preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one and group support to students with special needs and moderate learning difficulties.
  2. Help manage challenging behaviour, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
  3. Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  4. Support students' emotional and social development, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

Requirements:

  1. Prior experience working in an SEN setting is preferable.
  2. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  3. Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with complex needs.
  4. A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
