We are a large, all-through special school dedicated to providing exceptional support and fostering the holistic development of our pupils. Abbey Hill Academy & College is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as a Behaviour Management Lead. This is a brand-new, exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in an all-through special school. If you are a compassionate and skilled leader with a passion for helping pupils overcome challenges, we want to hear from you. As our Behaviour Management Lead, you will play a key part in providing a supportive and effective learning environment. You will be responsible for managing pupil behaviour and working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to help pupils reach their full potential. You will lead the development and implementation of whole-school strategies to improve behaviour, and you will also manage a personal caseload of pupils. This is more than just a job; it7s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils. You will:

Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of individual pupils and create effective support plans
  • Help reintegrate pupils back into school and prevent suspensions
  • Provide specialist advice and support to parents and carers, working together to find the best way forward
  • Organise and deliver training sessions on behaviour management to other staff members
  • Work with feeder schools to ensure smooth transitions for our pupils
  • Play a vital role in safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people
Qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone with a background in supporting teaching and learning, or a related field, who also has specialist knowledge of behaviour management. The successful candidate will be someone who can build positive relationships, inspire confidence, and is committed to our mission.
