Empowering Learning are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in an amazing SEND specialist school situated in Nottinghamshire/Lincs Border. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable. Experience within a sector with transferable skills may also be considered. Driving is essential due to rural location.


Desirable Attributes:
  1. Have experience working with young people
  2. Ability to work with people with behavioural difficulties
  3. Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  4. Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  5. Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
  6. High levels of care and resilience

  10. Have an understanding of managing children with multiple needs

Job Description:
  1. Supporting children during lessons/school activities
  2. Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
  3. Managing pupils' personalised learning based on their individual needs
  4. Helping young people with their daily care requirements
  5. Working with a variety of SEND and Mental Health needs
  6. Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
  7. Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
  8. Providing physical management and care of pupils
