Job Summary

Behavioral Technician (ABA Therapist) - Experience Preferred

Marlborough- 20-25 hours/week (after school hours)

Prior ABA experience preferred.

As a Behavior Technician, you will help shape the future of individuals by providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy and related services to individuals diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). You will enjoy creating and working in a fun, playful setting to help individuals close the gap by teaching the social, behavioral, and daily living skills they need to succeed. Sessions include the reward of working closely with parents and families of assigned clients, taking important data, and implementing protocols as trained by your supervisor.

This position works with children after school hours and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive staff and natural environment training arrangements.
  2. Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
  3. Follow and record data for prescribed protocols.
  4. Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior after every session.
  5. Effectively communicate with the BCBA regarding client progress as instructed or any parental concerns.
  6. Utilize safe and appropriate procedures (Safety Care) when working with students.
  7. Maintain client confidentiality.
  8. Assist BCBA in preparing client materials as instructed.
  9. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
  10. Collaborate with teams including clinical meetings when appropriate.
  11. Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.

Experience

  1. Required: A valid driver’s license
  2. Preferred: Experience working with children aged 3-21 years providing 1:1 setting.

Education

  1. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Preferred: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, education, ABA, or related field.
