We are searching for a talented Behavioral Health Practitioner.
Hours: 32 hrs
Shift: Day shift; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm flexible
Location: Surgery – Wareham, MA

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Under general direction of the Office Manager, Physician, or designee, perform a variety of duties to support and in support of Bariatric Surgical Services within Southcoast Physicians Services. Conduct preoperative psychological evaluations and provide recommendations to the clinical team on the appropriateness of surgery from a mental health perspective for surgical candidates. Update and manage Bariatric database. Coordinate, lead, and facilitate monthly pre-operative behavioral workshops. Counsel, coach, and educate patients and family on lifestyle changes and setting goals. Provide inpatient support to patients and education to team members and staff. Provide evening and weekend post-operative support groups at all hospital sites. Contribute to research, quality initiatives, and the development of curriculum and services for the behavioral aspects of surgical and non-surgical weight loss programs.
