Job summary

ABA Centers of America is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under BCBA supervision. Available afternoons, evenings, and some weekends. Training provided; tuition scholarship and pathways to RBT and BCBA are offered.

Starting pay is $21.25 per hour for BT and $23.50 per hour for RBT with final compensation based on experience, training, and education. Join a growing team focused on data-driven outcomes and family-centered care.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.

Position-Specific

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services
