Job description

Location: Shrewsbury, MA

Pay rate: $25/hr

Schedule: Saturday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday - Friday 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Summary:

The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced Part-Time Fee-for-Service Behavior Technician to provide community-based ABA support to a 23-year-old male with high-functioning autism in Shrewsbury, MA. The weekly hours will average 6-12 hours. The hourly rate is $25/hr. Candidates must be able to meet the following requirements and work the specified schedule: Fridays 6 pm - 10 pm; Saturdays 12 pm - 7 pm; Mondays 12 pm - 7 pm.

What you will do:

  • Implement, model, and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans based on data analysis under BCBA supervision, focusing on social skills, communication, and behavioral support.
  • Work collaboratively and independently with team members, especially parents.
  • Assist in training parents and caregivers on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, demonstrating excellent communication skills.

What you will bring:

  • Meet one of the following: (1) BA in Psychology, ABA, Special Education, or related field; (2) Associate's degree with at least two years of relevant experience; (3) One year of experience using ABA principles in a therapeutic setting.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in ABA implementation with children with autism.
  • Experience with positive behavior support plans, direct instruction, discrete trial training, incidental teaching, task analysis, or other ABA methods is preferred.
  • Experience working with youth under 21 with emotional/behavioral challenges or autism.
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
