Morrisons Head Office in Bradford is seeking a skilled Buyer to join our commercial team. You will plan, source, select, and negotiate a competitively priced product range across channels to maximise sales and margin.

You will translate customer insights into compelling propositions while maintaining quality and value. You will develop category plans for high-spend areas, drive sales through insightful range choices, and ensure margins through robust supplier plans and strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as Buying Manager/Senior Buyer or equivalent.
• Strong track record in range selection and curation to drive customer satisfaction.
• Proven ability to deliver category strategies in a competitive market.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering the category plan for a high spend, complex area.
• Driving sales and profit through customer insight and right range selections.
• Delivery of margin targets through supplier negotiation and robust plans.
• Managing supplier relationships and visits to ensure the 12-point charter is met.
• Using market knowledge and competitor insight to shape category strategies.
• Support the Buying team’s high-performance culture and professional growth.
• Delivering a great customer experience by helping shoppers to buy.
• Operate in compliance with the Grocery Suppliers Code of Practice (GSCOP).
