Job summary

A family-run furniture installation business in the UK is seeking a semi-skilled/skilled bedroom fitter to install bedrooms and fitted furniture independently. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of installation experience and a high standard of workmanship. This physically demanding role offers full-time hours with a starting pay rate between £12.50 and £15.50 per hour and 28 days paid holiday each year.

Job description

Chester Joinery require a semi-skilled/skilled bedroom fitter/furniture fitter to join our family-run business. Chester Joinery was established in 2015 and is now expanding.

Your role will be to install bedrooms and fitted furniture, including studies, display units, and bespoke fitted furniture, working independently and assisting in the workshop as needed.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' installation experience in fitting bedrooms and fitted furniture independently
• Experience working in a workshop, preferably with a panel saw and bench
• Able to read drawings and cutting lists
• Able to install a basic run of wardrobes independently within 1 day
• High standard of workmanship with close attention to detail
• Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism are essential
• Full driving licence and access to a car

The job is physically demanding and requires lifting heavy pieces, meeting installation deadlines, and being physically fit.

What We Offer:

• Permanent contract after a successful trial period
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Monthly pay, with a starting rate of £12.50-£15.50 per hour, dependent on experience
• 28 days paid holiday per year, including 20 paid holidays and 8 bank holidays
