Overview

Beauty Therapy Lecturer

College location: John Ruskin College (Selsdon)

Salary: £29,373 - £41,718 pro-rata (subject to qualifications, skills, and experience)

Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Beauty Therapy Lecturer to deliver teaching and learning on our Level 1-3 Beauty courses. Working closely with the Director of Learning and the Beauty team, you will share your knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level and drive continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor to apprenticeship students, promote attendance, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the planning, development and review of activities within your subject area. You may also contribute to open evenings, parents’ evenings and similar events as required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include delivering teaching and learning, acting as personal tutor for apprentices, supporting attendance, participating in team meetings, and helping plan and review subject area activities. You may be required to assist with open evenings and similar events as needed.

Qualifications
  • A teaching qualification
  • Subject specialist qualification at Level 2 and 3 or above, ideally including Spa units
  • Relevant teaching experience within the FE sector
  • Relevant industry experience
  • An Assessing and/or Internal Verifier qualification
