Job Title: Beauty Technician

Location: Colchester

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours: Part-Time, 3 days per week



Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with a leading FE college in Colchester to recruit a Beauty Technician. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the Hair & Beauty industry and looking to support learners and staff in a vibrant, student-focused educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain the Beauty salons and reception area
• Manage and administer salon equipment and resources
• Maintain accurate stock control and carry out regular stock takes
• Prepare purchase orders and receive deliveries
• Ensure salon cleanliness and professional presentation at all times
• Support staff and students with day-to-day salon requirements

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Beauty
• Good IT skills (IT qualification preferred)
• GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/Level 2 in English and Maths
• A commitment to safeguarding and willingness to obtain Level 1 Safeguarding & Prevent
• A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail

Desirable Attributes

• Previous experience in a college, salon or reception setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
