Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Beauty Therapy, ideally to Level 3 or above.
• Experience teaching, training or assessing learners, preferably within a further education setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to learner achievement, safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
• A recognised teaching qualification would be advantageous; candidates working towards one may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical beauty therapy lessons up to Level 3.
• Plan and prepare teaching materials in line with course specifications and awarding body requirements.
• Demonstrate professional beauty therapy techniques and maintain high standards of practical instruction.
• Assess learners' work, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in developing knowledge, skills and professional behaviours for employment in the beauty industry.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment, ensuring health and safety standards are followed.
• Complete relevant assessment, attendance and learner progress records.

Essential Requirements

• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to learner achievement, safeguarding and equality of opportunity.

A recognised teaching qualification would be advantageous. Candidates working towards a teaching qualification may also be considered, subject to the requirements of the role.
