Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd in Leeds is seeking an experienced Beam Saw Operator to set up and operate the beam saw, producing accurate components to tight specifications for our hotel furniture production.

You will read technical drawings, follow production paperwork, carry out quality checks, report faults, and uphold health and safety standards while working as part of a proactive team.

This is a permanent, full-time role of 39 hours weekly with late shifts, paying £17.50 per hour (shift allowance).

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating the Beam Saw
• Ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of components and assemblies to various factory departments
• Ensuring all components meet the required specifications and customer expectations
• Following labels, drawings, specifications, and production paperwork to complete tasks accurately
• Carrying out quality checks and identifying any faults or defects
• Checking quantities and quality of finished work and reporting any issues
• Following all Health and Safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment
• Being flexible and adapting to changing production requirements
• Producing high-quality, accurate work within required deadlines

Beam Saw Operator

Salary: £17.50 per hour including shift allowance

Employment: Permanent, 39 hours per week

Work schedule: Monday - Wednesday 3:30pm - 2:00am, Thursday 3:30pm - 1:00am

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Beam Saw Operator to operate machinery, produce accurate, high-quality components, and ensure timely delivery to factory departments. The role involves quality checks, identifying faults, following production specifications, and maintaining health and safety standards.
