Beach Monitoring HP Trainee
West Cumbria

Nuvia, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction, operates in highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear, with a strong presence at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally. We are committed to safety, innovation, and excellence, and are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Health Physics Trainee program in West Cumbria.

As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in radiation protection, environmental monitoring, and health physics using our state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in conducting radiological surveys and environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Learn and apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
  3. Support maintenance and calibration of radiation detection equipment.
  4. Participate in developing radiation safety programs and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with experienced professionals to develop practical skills in radiation dose assessment and control measures.
Requirements & Experience:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, committed to safety and ethics.
  • Ability to adapt to different environments and work under supervision.
  • Undertake a medical examination to qualify as a classified radiation worker.
  • Obtain necessary security clearance.
  • Ability to enter contamination and radiation-controlled areas and wear PPE/RPE.
