Job summary

South Yorkshire Police is inviting transferee and re-joiner officers to join both uniform and detective teams across the Force, at Constable, Sergeant, Inspector and Chief Inspector levels. You must be a current serving officer in a Home Office force and meet the eligibility criteria to proceed with the transfer process.

Applicants meeting criteria will attend a competency-based interview and undergo checks including Vetting, Medical Assessment, Biometrics, References, Sickness Criteria,

Qualifications

• Be a current serving police officer in a Home Office force.
• Have no outstanding misconduct or integrity issues.
• Have resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to submitting your application.
• Must have successfully completed your probationary period with your Force prior and be substantive in post.

Responsibilities

• Applicants meeting eligibility criteria will be invited to a competency-based interview, based on the Competency & Values Framework for Policing (CVF).
• Successful applicants will be guided through the transferee and re-joiner process and will be required to undergo checks: Vetting, Medical Assessment, Biometrics, References, Sickness Criteria, Misconduct, Tattoos.
• Your posting will be dependent on individual preference and operational requirement; opportunity exists across uniform and detective teams.
