Job Description:

Description: A desire to learn, practice, get qualified in, and execute the following is essential, any experience is an advantage:

• SIEM, MDR, EDR, and SOAR technologies
• Relevant coding languages, e.g., Python, SQL, Robin Script, KQL, Cypher, etc.
• One or more relevant security certifications, e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified SOC Analyst, Microsoft SC-200, Security+, etc.
• Resides in the UK
• Fluent in English

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze the efficacy of our customers' security systems, as required by our agreements
• Respond, investigate & escalate / resolve customer tickets from the BDO Digital global platform
• Work with and communicate effectively with customers and BDO Digital teams
• Continuously learn about developing attack methods and share knowledge with global colleagues
• Stay updated with the latest offensive security technologies, approaches, standards & methodologies

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs or equivalents

Skills Required:

Any technical experience is an advantage

Training provided:

Firebrand’s Level 4 Cyber Defender & Responder Apprenticeship Programme trains apprentices in technical, procedural, and physical controls for cybersecurity threats. The programme includes vendor certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, EC-Council Certified Network Defender, and covers key areas like networking, threat assessment, operating system security, cryptography, and security policies.
