Job summary
Kirklees Council is seeking an exceptional Head of Inclusion to lead the strategic development of inclusive practices at BDAT. Qualifications

Probationary period: Six months
Work Pattern: The hours of work shall be in accordance with the provisions set out in the Academy Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document for school leaders. Some evening work is required and should be managed by the post holder as part of their hours.

We are looking for an inspirational Head of Inclusion who will lead the development of a strong inclusive culture across the Trust, ensuring the highest standards of achievement, safety and pastoral care for all children. BDAT is looking to appoint a Head of Inclusion to support our central team to focus relentlessly on ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership of inclusion and will be particularly focused on supporting and safeguarding those vulnerable children, children with SEND and additional needs and those who are disadvantaged or at risk of disadvantage or harm. The post holder will be expected to support our current academy leaders through a mix of coaching, mentoring, direction and at times rolling your sleeves up and role modelling excellent practice.
