The overall BCBS239 programme spans globally including resources from our Data Management, Risk, Finance and IT teams.



BCBS239 Business Analyst responsiblities:

  • Analyse and interpret BCBS239 regulatory requirements to ensure compliance within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement regulatory frameworks and solutions.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements in line with BCBS standards.
  • Definition of user stories
  • Collaborating with the wider data family, including analysts, engineers, and product managers
  • Monitor project progress and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of reports and documentation required for regulatory submissions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for BCBS239-related matters within the organisation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BCBS239 regulations and industry best practices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful BCBS239 Business Analyst should have:

  • A solid background in the financial services industry, particularly in banking.
  • Experience across a range of data & analytics disciplines (e.g. data governance, data quality, business intelligence, data engineering, ad hoc analytics) and a passion for using data to improve business outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience as a Technical Business Analyst, System Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience using of the tools, principles, and best practices techniques appropriate to requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
  • Experience of business analysis working within an agile working environment
  • An outstanding problem solver who has an analytical mindset, is inquisitive and excellent with technology enabling a creative approach to solution scoping and delivery.
  • SQL skills to support requirements and data analysis, ideally including both raw and aggregated data with the ability to review transformation logic
  • Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Appreciation of data modelling techniques (e.g. dimensional modelling, data vault)
  • Strong knowledge of BCBS239 regulations and their practical applications.
  • Experience in analysing business processes and delivering regulatory solutions.
  • Proficiency in creating clear and concise documentation for stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Competence in managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
