Job summary

A leading aquaculture company is seeking candidates for a support position involving aquatic operations and maintenance. This position includes but is not limited to providing bath support to the Ronja Well-boats, assisting with other bathing operations, fish husbandry, and general pen maintenance.

As this position is part of our greater Central Support Crew, you will also be required to assist with work on our zones and within Central Support as needed.

ABOUT YOU

Successful candidates will have:

  1. The ability to demonstrate planning and organisational skills
  2. Current driver’s licence
  3. Demonstrated ability to make sound and timely decisions and work with tight deadlines
  4. Good communication skills
  5. The ability to work as part of a small team
  6. Experience in Aquaculture, Marine Farming or working on the water is desirable but not essential.

Successful applicants must be able to work a 7 days on, 7 days off roster. Because of the nature of our bathing operations, successful applicants will be required to work from both our Hideaway Bay and Margate sites. The remote nature of these sites requires all applicants to hold a valid driver’s licence.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
