Tarmac is looking for a Batch Plant Operative to join our Pavement Solutions team.

About the Role

As a Batch Plant Operative, you will operate our fleet of mobile mixing plants to produce cement-bound products for paving. You will also carry out tasks within the mixing operation, stockpiling, replenishment, and maintaining the plants to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):

  1. Managing all aspects of daily production, including ordering materials and controlling stock levels.
  2. Ensuring the safe and efficient completion of plant mobilization and demobilization from site.
  3. Manufacturing CBGM/RCC and foamed asphalt efficiently.
  4. Ensuring products meet quality requirements.
  5. Controlling cement content and accurately completing mixing records.
  6. Taking responsibility for safety for yourself and contractors.
  7. Maintaining site housekeeping to a high standard.
  8. Coordinating deliveries with the paving team to meet requirements.
  9. Identifying and resolving maintenance issues with mixing plants.

Please note: This role involves travel to various Tarmac sites across the UK, with a company van provided. Candidates must be willing to travel.
