Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bar maintenance, receiving and storage of goods, and cellar operations.
  • Maintain good food safety, hygiene standards, and practices.
  • Assist with preparations for food and beverage functions and service, including cleaning equipment, maintaining glassware and china, preparing the bar station, and serving beverages.
  • Perform table service and record replacement stock.
  • Handle billing procedures in line with hotel policy.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships.
  • Participate in daily briefings and scheduled meetings.

Accountabilities include:

  • Self-management, including compliance with hotel rules, grooming standards, timekeeping, and attendance policies.
  • Active participation in training and development programs.

Customer Service:

  • Demonstrate attentive, accurate, and prompt service, understanding and anticipating guest needs, and exceeding expectations.
  • Resolve guest complaints effectively.
  • Promote hotel products and services, maintaining high product and service knowledge about all hotels in the region.

Health, Safety & Security:

  • Understand policies related to health, hygiene, and fire safety.
  • Familiarize with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Log security incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly and report to line management.

General:

  • Comply with the corporate code of conduct and understand company culture.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed to achieve business goals.
  • Continuously seek knowledge and skill improvement through ongoing training.
  • Work effectively as part of a diverse team.
