Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Senior Bartender or Cocktail Bartender.
• Confident mixologist with knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Highly social and motivated, acting with professionalism.

Bartender · £15.82 – £16.32 per hour (incl. Tronc) plus Additional Tips & Company Benefits · Full Time · Full Flexibility Required Monday – Sunday · Kings Cross · Late-Night Thursday – Saturday (2am)

We are now seeking a dynamic individual who will capture the very essence of Double Standard, Isla, and The Library Lounge, and join our team as the Bartender.

Double Standard bar and restaurant has become best known for its famous burgers, DJs, boozy brunches and guest chefs BBQ's, all enjoyed in the 70s-inspired bar space and sun-soaked terraces. Isla restaurant and terrace is an indoor-outdoor garden oasis with a seasonal menu, carefully curated wine list, and inventive cocktails. The Library Lounge is our cosiest corner, and a hub for our music and cultural programming.

Your role

As a Bartender at The Standard, London, you will become part of an exceptional bar team primarily based in our main Double Standard bar, serving signature and classic cocktails, wines, beers, and seasonal specials for our restaurant, library, garden, and terrace.

You will of course be passionate about service, with an exceptional working knowledge of bar operations and order of service; along with a deep appreciation of quality wines, champagne and spirts in order to guide and make recommendations to guests based on their preferences. The bar team will also create and mix a range of signature cocktails in addition to mixing and blending of all the classics, to add a touch of personality and theatre to our guests’ experience.

Finally, and most importantly, you will be a host, making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment and can manage multiple tasks and guest with ease.

As aBartender at The Standard you will need to have miles and miles of personality and stamina, be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.

In addition to this you will also need….

• Prior experience as a Senior Bartender or Cocktail Bartender with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination cocktail bar or similar busy city bar
• To be a confident mixologist with a proven knowledge of spirits, well versed in both classic and contemporary cocktails with a good understanding of the latest trends in the London bar scene
• To be highly social, motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
• Available full-time with full flexibility to work Mon-Sun, as well as late night Thurs-Sat until 2am
• Prior experience using squirrel epos is advantageous, however full training will be given
• Any relevant qualifications such as WSET are advantageous but not essential
