What’s the role?

Bartender

Who we are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting into the bar management team and as a key part of the food and beverage team you will:

  • Prepare and serve up perfectly made drinks from our range of menus
  • On our guest service bars you will be the friendly face providing exceptional experiences, along with recommendations and suggested drinks
  • On our service bars you will speedily prepare the orders as they come in, keeping our waiters and runners stocked with the drinks they need to deliver a seamless experience to our guests
  • All of our bars are in full view of the guests so a tidy, presentable, and slick operation is essential
  • Be a guardian of drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned standards reach our guests
  • Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm

What you can bring to the role:

  • You’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our customers to give them an exceptional service
  • You’ll have great all-round drinks knowledge, and ideally experience with cocktails and/or wines
  • A creative flair is always welcome – we host regular cocktail competitions with our winning drinks being added to the menus
  • If you have the desire to learn and progress then you can take part including the option to gain a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification, and extensive bar training as part of our monthly learning calendar

What The Ned can give you:

  • Salary of £17.00 per hour (including service charge)
  • Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy’s including monthly payday breakfast
  • Exciting learning and development programmes to help progress your career
  • Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends
  • Wellbeing and health benefits, including Medicash and Wagestream, with access to gym, shopping, and cinema discounts
  • Your birthday off after a year of service and more holiday after five years
  • Paid volunteer day
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • Regular social events, including an annual pool party
  • Employee assistance programme – 24/7 advice and support
  • Reward and recognition initiatives
