Job summary

Middle Eight in London is seeking an engaging and driven Bartender to join our Truly Talented team. You will work in a busy city hotel bar, delivering exceptional hospitality and knowledge of wines, cocktails, and specialty drinks.

The role offers a permanent, full-time contract (40hrs per week) with a salary of £27,040 per annum plus service charge, plus generous benefits, training, discounts and progression opportunities. You must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Experience as a bartender in a busy environment.
• Solid personal presentation and professional appearance.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.

Responsibilities

Middle Eight is a new, 180 room lifestyle luxury hotel with purpose in Covent Garden. Until recently, this address was home to one of the country's foremost recording venues. We are currently recruiting for an engaging and driven Bartender to join our Truly Talented team.

Your role

The ideal person for this role will be a true epicurean – a food and drink enthusiast, who maintains a solid and up-to-date understanding of the restaurant and bar scene.

You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of hospitality and service in the restaurant and the bar.

Have in-depth knowledge of wines, cocktails and speciality drinks and take pride in learning our food menu as well. And enjoy engaging with guests, getting to know our regulars and learning to anticipate their needs.

You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous experience as a bartender in a busy environment ;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
