Job summary

Flogas in Rainham (RM13) is seeking a Class 1 Barrel Driver to deliver LPG safely to homes and businesses across our network. You’ll join a team focused on reliability, compliance and customer service, with routes planned to support efficient daytime and occasional night work.

You must hold LGV Class 1, ADR in Tanks, Driver CPC and tachograph knowledge; you’ll work as part of a collaborative depot team with health and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence required.
• ADR in Tanks (minimum class 2 gases) preferred.
• Driver CPC and tachograph knowledge required.
• A calm, safety‑minded approach and health/safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Safe LPG deliveries to customers and sites.
• Ensure routes are followed and deviations are reported.
• Support team with handovers and daily pre‑start checks.

How you’ll power our business as a Class 1 Barrel Driver

Drivers are at the heart of Flogas. Whether you’re helping keep a care home cosy, or a micro-brewery running, you’ll make sure our customers are always connected to the energy they need, come rain or shine. Powering our business, you’ll make bulk deliveries of LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) on time – and above all – safely, day in and day out. Because at Flogas, if it’s not safe, it’s not done. Simple.

What we’ll need from you

• LGV Class 1 licence. Ideally, you’ll also have an ADR in Tanks with minimum class 2 gases.
• Driver CPC and valid Drivers Digital Tachograph Card, plus a sound knowledge of driving hours and tachograph regulations
• A calm, unflappable approach, and a commitment to ensuring everyone’s health, safety and wellbeing is protected in all that you do
• A willingness to keep in touch with the team and stay flexible, so together, we can do more
• A keenness to learn new ways of doing things so we can keep doing right by our customers and each other
• A willingness to have a DBS check that helps keep you, our customers and our people safe.
• A flexible approach to helping our customers as Nights out (Tramping) will be required as part of this role (Depending on Depot)
