Job description

Hello! We are a small business and an independent collaboration between two pastry chefs originally from Sydney, Australia. With a combined total of 18 years in the culinary industry, we have worked in food establishments in Sydney, Melbourne, London, Singapore and the Philippines, and are excited to have our first bakery in Battersea. With a love for pastry and experimentation (especially with an Asian flare), our bakery café takes a fresh spin on pastries – a ‘make everything in-house’ concept.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a hard-working Barista who is outgoing and interested in working with our team in our bakery cafe. While we are a small team, we are incredibly passionate about what we do and want our coffee division to mirror this.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be responsible for making great coffee and creating a positive coffee experience for customers
  • Prepare and serve customer orders (coffee and retail packing of pastries)
  • Train with our speciality coffee supplier
  • Work in compliance to all UK Food Health and Safety Preparation laws

What we are looking for:

Our kitchen will be open plan allowing customers to see what we do, so a positive attitude and excellent front of house skills is crucial. - Someone who loves all aspects of coffee and bakery/pastry. - A team player with great organisational skills and time management – you will need to be able to multi-task, be efficient, and work in a fast-paced environment. - Someone who can also work independently when required. - Someone who is discipline in prioritising cleanliness, food hygiene and minimising food wastage (adhere to FIFO, recycling, etc) - An individual eager to learn, willing to contribute with a collaborative atmosphere and will openly communicate with everyone. *Please be aware that at this time, we can only accept applications from people who are UK Nationals or have IDL to remain and work in the UK.
