Job summary

Compass Group UK is recruiting a Barista for a part-time role at a major High Street brand. The position is contracted to 10 hours per week, with opportunities to progress within a company that invests in its people and recognises performance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on brewing experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work under pressure while delivering excellent service and maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Demonstrate reliability and good timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers.
• Keeping the bar area clean.
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards).
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator.
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates.
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques.
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Representing Asda and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
