Job summary

Starbucks Norwich – Haymarket is hiring a Barista to deliver an exceptional customer experience while crafting high-quality beverages and food. You will greet customers, take orders, operate the POS, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the store.

You should be friendly, communicative, able to multitask, and flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and development opportunities are available as you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude and positive energy.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale knowledge.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move stock as needed.
• Willingness to follow company safety, hygiene and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Take accurate orders and operate the point-of-sale system.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food according to Starbucks recipes.
• Operate espresso machines and other café equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas and customer spaces.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
• Collaborate with team to achieve store goals during busy periods.
• Follow all policies including cash handling and safety.
• Assist with training of new team members when needed.
