No previous experience is required to join as a barista—just a passion for bringing joy to our customers. Working at Starbucks is unique: you create genuine moments of connection through handcrafted beverages, build relationships by learning customers' preferences, and collaborate with your team.

A typical day may include:

1. Supporting store procedures, including opening/closing, cash handling, and safety/security
2. Assisting during busy periods to keep the store running smoothly
3. Getting to know your store environment and customers to anticipate their needs
4. Helping create a welcoming third place environment during each shift
5. Delivering legendary customer service with a customer-first attitude
6. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
7. Providing consistent, quality beverages, food, and whole bean products according to standards

Our stores' hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

All partners start with an introductory training program led by experienced trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These are delivered in-store and support on-the-job learning with your manager.
