Are you a skilled Barista with a passion for coffee and community?

Sacred Grounds, in the heart of Soho, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. If you have a strong coffee background and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Your Role

As a Barista at Sacred Grounds, you’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional coffee and food experiences within a vibrant, community-focused space. Working on our beautiful La Marzocco KB90, you’ll need to be fast, efficient, and always ready to multitask while maintaining excellent service and communication.

Some shifts will be more coffee-focused, others will lean toward food prep and service (as part of our Food + Service Assistant role). All team members are expected to be flexible and contribute to both areas as needed - including general duties like bussing tables, serving on the till, and keeping the space clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee with consistency and care
• Provide warm, attentive, and community-driven customer service
• Take orders, process transactions, and assist customers with the menu
• Prepare light food items, smoothies, and juices efficiently and safely
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment
• Collaborate with the team across food and coffee stations
• Work shifts between 07:30-19:00, with occasional later finishes for evening events
• Typically work around 3 shifts / 20 hours per week

Requirements

• Coffee Expertise: You must have solid barista experience - we’re looking for more than just general hospitality skills
• Flexibility: Comfortable working in either a coffee or food-prep role
• Pace + Precision: Confident in a fast-paced setting and able to multitask
• Team Player: Friendly, communicative, and supportive of colleagues
• Reliable Commute: You must be able to consistently arrive on time at our Soho location
