Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is recruiting a Barista on a full-time basis to craft coffee and deliver first-class service for Defence sites. The role is contracted to 35 hours per week, with shifts that vary and a 49.2-week year commitment.

You will be part of a team delivering high-quality beverages, maintaining standards, and upholding health and safety. This role offers progression within a company that values its people and brand reputation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks to a high standard and serve quality food to customers.

• Maintain stock of mugs, cups, and related items.
• Learn about brewing methods, blends, and presentation techniques.
• Report any brewing equipment maintenance needs promptly.

We're currently recruiting a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
