  • Comfortable working with La Marzocco Linea PB machines and Nuova Simonelli Mythos Ones grinders.

  • Dial in Grinders for both House Blend & Black Blend to brand standards.
  • Open and close down coffee section independently.
  • Deliver coffee to customers in an engaging and friendly manner.

Job description

Grind is a hospitality company based in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand has expanded across London with restaurants and café-bars, serving coffee, food, and cocktails to a lively soundtrack.

At Grind, coffee is at the core of what we do. We are coffee specialists committed to delivering the best quality, service, and consistency across all our locations. Our coffee team is busy and under pressure, but we maintain a fun, developmental, and enjoyable work environment.

We are seeking a skilled barista with excellent attention to detail, efficiency, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume coffee environment, skilled in serving quality espresso shots and steaming milk. Comfort with our equipment—La Marzocco Linea PB and Nuova Simonelli Mythos One grinders—is essential. Most importantly, you should be able to deliver great-tasting coffee in a friendly, engaging, customer-focused manner.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Dial in grinders for both House Blend & Black Blend to brand standards
  2. Open and close the coffee section independently
  3. Multi-task and perform during busy service solo
  4. Maintain speed, quality, and consistency of service and products
  5. Serve coffee to customers in an engaging and friendly manner
  6. Pour basic latte art and understand all types of milk used at Grind
  7. Keep the section clean at all times
  8. Understand all coffee offerings, including House Blend, Black Blend, Filter, and Decaf
  9. Report stock shortages or issues to the Head Barista or Manager
  10. Wear full and correct uniform at all times
