The Lighter, a charming pub on Topsham Quay, is seeking enthusiastic Bar & Waiting staff for part-time seasonal hours, with potential extension. Starting pay is £13.11 per hour with a pay rise to £13.45 after six months, plus 60% meal discounts and shared tips. Flexible evenings and weekends are available, with a supportive team and opportunities to grow.

This role requires 18+ due to alcohol service and offers a rewarding, busy environment in a historic Saxon town on the Exe Estuary.

Formación

• Experience in bar or waiting roles is an advantage but not essential.
• Natural host who creates memorable moments for guests.
• Reliable team player committed to high standards.

Responsabilidades

• Serve customers at the bar and on the floor as part of front-of-house staff.
• Take orders, serve drinks and food, and clear tables efficiently.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming, tidy, and safe dining area.

Fabulous Pub - On the Quayside

Part of the Hall & Woodhouse family of iconic pubs and located in the historic Saxon town of Topsham on the banks of the Exe Estuary, the Lighter is a picturesque example of a friendly, classic English pub. Great for locals and visitors alike with flagstone floors, a log burner and large terrace right on Topsham Quay the pub is busy all year peaking in the summer months. The Lighter is well positioned close to all amenities and not far from Exeter.

We’re growing our Front of House team andare looking for enthusiastic Bar & Waiting staff to join us on part time hours for the season and maybe beyond. We offer flexible evening and weekend hours that fit around your life.
