This position is for function room service - weddings & events.

Expect approximately 3-5 shifts per week, with shifts lasting 8-12 hours, predominantly late shifts into early hours.

As a bartender / bar person, your main duties will be:
  1. Ensure the cleanliness and order of the bar; correct mis-en-place and set up of the bar prior to and during service, ensuring guests are warmly greeted and promptly served to a high standard as set by the standards of a four-star castle hotel.
  2. Report for duty on time and in the correct uniform, as outlined in your induction handbook.
  3. Keep the bar area clean and fully stocked at all times.
  4. Follow all hygiene regulations rigorously.
  5. Ensure the accuracy of all floats by checking them and reporting irregularities (senior bar personnel only).
  6. Be responsible for:
    1. The efficient dispensing and serving of drinks.
    2. The efficient service of bar food, with full tray setup to the standard of a four-star castle hotel.
    3. Serving food in accordance with the standards set by the chef.
    4. Meeting guest needs and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Requirements for a bar person:
  • Must be aged 18 or over.
  • Must have own transportation for reliable commuting.
  • Permission to reside and work in Ireland.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Weekend availability.
