Job summary

The Shrewsbury Hotel in Shrewsbury is seeking bar staff to join The J D Wetherspoon team. No experience is required; a friendly attitude, reliability and the ability to work as part of a team are key as you learn on the job.

You’ll work flexible shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends, with a supportive training programme, competitive pay, meals and discounts, and opportunities to progress within the pubs group.

Qualifications

• No experience needed; good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, friendly and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare, dispense and serve drinks at the bar or via the customer app.
• Deliver food to customers and clear plates within the required timeframe.
• Provide friendly customer interactions: say hello, thank customers, build rapport.
• Be knowledgeable about promotions, events and new products.
• Maintain clean-as-you-go standards, wipe surfaces and carry out toilet checks.
• Work across areas including glass-washing, restocking fridges and beer garden duties.
