Job summary

Equipment Sales & Service Limited, part of Compass Group UK&I Defence, is seeking a Retail Supervisor to help run operations in a Defence setting on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). The role emphasizes a high standard of customer service, team leadership, and efficient till operation.

You will work 5 out of 7 days with a shift pattern, handle deliveries, rota planning, stock ordering, and compliance with food handling and health & safety standards, while supporting a motivated frontline

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Operate the till, take orders, and process payments.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager's guidelines.
• Place stock orders to maintain stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Delegate tasks and encourage proactive team performance.
• Manage weekly bookwork as required.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a part time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week. As a Retail Supervisor, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. • Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Using the till, taking order and receiving payments
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
