Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

As a Retail Supervisor you will supervise a team, manage till operations, and assist with bookwork and stock orders while maintaining high standards of service and safety. This role is part of Compass Group UK&I’s ESS division and emphasizes commitment to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Strong focus on delivering great Customer Service.
• Ability to manage a small team and delegate tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Using the till, taking order and receiving payments
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.
