Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Bar Supervisor to help ensure the smooth operation of Defence services on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). The role involves supervising frontline staff, managing rotas, stock orders, and maintaining high standards of food handling and safety.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising teams, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a Defence environment.

• Checking and storing deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervising a team and creating a welcoming, supportive environment.

• Assisting with weekly bookwork and other duties as needed.
• Producing weekly rotas following manager's guidelines.
• Placing orders to maintain stock levels.
• Delegating tasks and keeping the team proactive at all times.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Bar Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a part time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Bar Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
