Casual Bar Staff

Are you confident behind a bar and thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment? Constellation is on the lookout for energetic and enthusiastic Casual Bar Staff to join our team for the exciting 2025/2026 racing season at the world-famous Cheltenham Racecourse.

This is your chance to be part of the action at one of the UK’s most iconic sporting venues, whether you're a seasoned bartender or looking to gain hands-on experience in a high-energy setting.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across the season on the following major race days:

  • The Showcase: Friday 24th & Saturday 25th October 2025
  • The November Meeting: Friday 14th – Sunday 16th November 2025
  • The International: Friday 12th & Saturday 13th December 2025
  • New Year’s Day Racing: Thursday 1st January 2026
  • Festival Trials Day: Saturday 24th January 2026
  • The Cheltenham Festival: Tuesday 10th – Friday 13th March 2026 (The biggest event of the season!)
  • The April Meeting: Wednesday 15th & Thursday 16th April 2026
  • Race Night featuring Hunter Chase: Friday 1st May 2026

Alongside opportunities to work at many conference and events shifts throughout the year.

As part of our bar team, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to guests across a range of venues at Cheltenham Racecourse. You’ll have the chance to work in:

  • Hospitality Bar Service: Upscale bars in restaurants, boxes, and private suites, where you’ll serve premium drinks, wines, mix basic cocktails, and offer a high level of guest interaction.
  • Public Bars: Bustling bars open to all racegoers, where you’ll be pouring pints, serving wine and spirits, handling payments, and keeping up with a fast-paced service style.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately pouring and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Providing friendly, efficient, and professional customer service
  • Maintaining a clean and organised bar area
  • Handling payments and operating tills (where required)
  • Restocking fridges and supplies during and after service
  • Working as part of a larger team to ensure smooth service flow
  • Upholding licensing laws, Challenge 25 policy, and health & safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confidence and energy in a busy service environment
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Previous bar experience is ideal but not essential- training provided
  • Ability to work under pressure with a smile!
  • Must be 18+ to serve alcohol
