We're currently recruiting a dedicated Bar Staff to help ensure the smooth running of operations in Defence on a part-time basis, contracted to 16 hours per week.

Shift patterns will typically be: 4 days out of 7, with the role contracted for 50 weeks per year.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Serve food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers professionally and friendly.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times, in the bar and dining areas.
• Set up, maintain, and clear bar and dining areas during service.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards in all front-of-house areas.
• Operate tills, handle cash and card transactions accurately, following company procedures.
• Restock service counters, condiment stations, and bar stock as needed.
• Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws.
• Support catering and events teams during functions and busy periods.

Our Ideal Bar Staff Will

• Be friendly, approachable, and professional with strong customer service skills.
• Have good communication and interpersonal abilities, comfortable engaging with customers.
• Previous experience in hospitality, bar work, or catering is desirable but not essential.
• Be confident handling cash, card transactions, and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Be reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Be well-presented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Possess basic food hygiene knowledge and awareness of licensing laws (training can be provided).
