Position: Bar Staff (Known Internally as Food and Beverage Assistant)

Job Type: Flexible (zero hour contract)

Key Duties

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly manner on arrival.
• Conduct yourself professionally at all times, adhering to My Time’s Code of Conduct and standards.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations when preparing, cooking, and delivering food to customers.
• Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation standards.
• Follow food and drink labelling guidance and stock rotation procedures.
• Keep vending machines fully stocked and assist with refilling them.
• Operate a cash register accurately, following My Time’s cash handling and financial procedures.
• Accept deliveries, check items against delivery notes, and store them securely.
• Ensure the F&B area is safe, clean, and welcoming before customers arrive.
• Perform safety and cleaning inspections as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of working areas at all times.
• Supervise front of house during functions, events, and societies.
• Report any defective services, equipment, or facilities to the manager.
• Help conserve energy and reduce waste.
• Wear a clean uniform with a name badge.
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
• This role involves lone working, some team working, and key holding responsibilities.

Ideally, candidates will have experience working in a busy bar setting, but full training will be provided. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service is essential.

The individual must be able to serve alcohol.

Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends is required.
