Job description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Bar Manager to join a special team in St Andrews.

This position will play an integral role in providing an outstanding experience for guests by ensuring the smooth running of the bar and cafe.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily operations in line with 5-star standards
  2. Ensure food operation is set up and executed to an exceptional standard
  3. Manage opening and closing procedures, stock control, and cash handling
  4. Train and manage bar and floor team while promoting a culture of professionalism, product knowledge, and 5-star service
  5. Educate customers: share the story behind our different spirits, explain production techniques, and answer questions regarding gin and whisky
  6. Work with mixologists to create a cocktail menu that showcases house-made spirits
  7. Collaborate with the distillery team to finalize a small but luxury food menu
  8. Help coordinate and host special events
  9. Collaborate with the marketing team for promotions and social media features
