Job summary

Caravan Fitzrovia is seeking a Bar Manager to lead and inspire the bar team, delivering the Caravan of Love guest experience and showcasing well-travelled beverages.

You will work closely with the General Manager and Head Chef to develop staff, manage service, and uphold high standards across all shifts. This full-time role focuses on beverage excellence, guest delight, and team growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in bar or hospitality management.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Passion for beverages and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Caravan of Love customer experience with your team and serve our well-travelled drinks.
• Develop and coach your team alongside the General Manager and Head Chef.
• Take ownership of your role and drive learning and development within the restaurant.
• Familiarity with systems like Fourth, FnB and Harri is a plus; training can be provided.
• Ensure compliance with weights, measures, licensing laws, health and safety, and fire procedures.
• Welcome guests, take orders, make recommendations, and serve our beverages with flair.
• Train and develop key team members and guide service teams to maintain exceptional standards.

Up to £18.60 per hour, dependent on experience

Responsibilities

• Delivering our 'Caravan of Love' style of customer experience with your team and serving up our 'well-travelled' food and drink, which is inspired by flavours from our founders' native New Zealand, as well as their global travels.


• Working with your General Manager and Head Chef to nurture and develop your team.


• Your own learning in order to develop your knowledge and skills and take ownership of your role and your restaurant.


• We work with Fourth, FnB and Harri so it would be great if you have experience with these systems, although we can always show you the ropes if you haven't.


• Follow all legal requirements regarding weights and measures, licensing laws, health, and safety as well as fire procedures.


• Welcoming customers, taking drinks orders, making recommendations, and serving our well-travelled drinks that delight our guests.


• Training and development of key team members.


• Guide, coach, and support teams during service, to develop teamwork and ensure the standard of service is always exceptional.
