Schedule: 10–12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays (flexible schedule required)
Transport: Own transport essential due to rural location

About the Role

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bar Manager to lead the bar operations at Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa, a prestigious 4 Red Star luxury hotel in the heart of Northamptonshire. With an exceptional food and beverage offering—featuring a 3 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant, 2 Rosette Brasserie, stunning wedding and event spaces, and The Great Hall Bar—this is a role for an ambitious and service-focused individual looking to make their mark in a high-profile setting.

You’ll oversee the full operation of our bar outlets, including the future development of our hidden gem: The Cellar Bar, while working alongside a passionate F&B leadership team to ensure world-class standards, innovation, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the bar team across all outlets including weddings, events, and daily service

Oversee full bar operations including cocktails, wines, spirits, cellar management, and supplier relationships

Maintain exceptional service standards, ensuring a memorable experience for every guest

Develop innovative drinks menus and stay ahead of trends in cocktails, wine, and mixology

Handle stock control, ordering, wastage management, and cleanliness standards

Play a hands-on role during service, leading by example and coaching the team

Collaborate with senior F&B management to support wider business goals

Drive team development, training, and morale through positive leadership

Who We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a premium, high-volume bar or hotel environment, ideally with banqueting and wedding experience

A strong passion for service, cocktails, wines, and hospitality innovation

Confident leading a team in a fast-paced, guest-facing role

High level of personal presentation and communication skills

Calm, hands-on leadership style with a proactive, ‘nothing is too much’ attitude

Excellent multitasking, time management, and organisational abilities

Must have own transport due to rural location
