Job summary

YOTEL Manchester Deansgate is seeking a Bar Crew member for MOTLEY. The role involves delivering friendly service, crafting cocktails and beverages, handling orders and payments, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar during busy shifts.

You’ll join the MOTLEY team and work closely with the Bar Supervisor and F&B staff to create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere for hotel guests and locals alike.

Qualifications

• Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred.
• A good knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits - or a willingness to learn.
• A friendly, confident and professional approach to guest service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy bar environment.
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience using POS/till systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent and friendly customer service at the bar.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and other beverages to a consistently high standard.
• Take guest orders, process payments and operate the till accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar throughout service.
• Assist with stock replenishment and communicate low stock levels to supervisors.
• Follow correct opening, closing and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and health & safety.
• Follow licensing requirements and responsible alcohol service procedures.
• Answer guest questions and make recommendations from our drinks menu.
• Work closely with the wider F&B team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Help create the fun, relaxed, and social atmosphere that makes MOTLEY what it is.

Location: YOTEL Manchester Deansgate – Restaurant & Bar: MOTLEY
Pay: £12.86 per hour + service charge
Hours: Around 32 hours per week
Schedule: Various shifts, including evenings and weekends

Description

Eat, drink and hang out at MOTLEY, a melting pot for locals and hotel guests alike. From lunch till late, the menu is filled to the brim with uncomplicated, kind-to-the-environment and good-for-the-soul dishes that are low-mileage, ingredient-led, homely, local and seasonal.

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Bar Crew to join our team at MOTLEY.

The Role

As part of our Bar Crew, you’ll be at the heart of the MOTLEY experience, delivering great drinks and exceptional hospitality to both hotel guests and locals.

You’ll work closely with the Bar Supervisor and wider F&B team to ensure smooth bar operations, maintain high standards and create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.
