Job description

The Peninsula London is pleased to announce we are seeking a Bar Chef de Rang to join the team within our Brooklands Bar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Commis Waiters and delivering high levels of service.

About the Venue

Brooklands restaurant offers contemporary European cuisine under the guidance of Michelin-starred Chef Director, Claude Bosi, one of Britain's leading culinary lights. The venue features top-flight libations and cigars in a collection of distinctive spaces inspired by British aviation and motorsport eras.

The venue, designed by London architects Archer Humphryes, includes a sleek main dining room and a sweeping outdoor terrace with panoramic views of London's skyline, including landmarks like St Paul’s, the London Eye, Battersea, and over three Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Green Park, and St James’ Park).

Key Accountabilities
  1. Promote The Peninsula London as a recognized culinary destination by creating memorable guest experiences through friendly, yet unobtrusive service with a passion for excellence.
  2. Understand and follow the sequence of service standards.
  3. Know the menus and all food and beverage items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and service styles.
  4. Ensure proper usage of all food and beverage items, equipment, tools, and serviceware.
  5. Utilize the POS system efficiently.
  6. Maintain the physical condition of all facilities and equipment, and recommend improvements as needed.
General Requirements
  1. Good knowledge of current food and beverage trends in service and culinary experience.
  2. Experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant or luxury 5-star hotel.
  3. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  4. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
