Job summary

Country House Weddings Ltd is looking for a hands-on venue assistant at St Audries Park near Taunton to manage waiting staff during events and support the Personal Wedding Manager. Based at St Audries Park, a premier wedding venue set in Somerset, you will lead the waiting team to ensure seamless service while the Personal Wedding Manager focuses on event execution.

You will help with rosters, staffing, oversee canape service, and ensure the team has strong knowledge of food/beverages.

Qualifications

• Catering: 1 year (preferred)
• A wide range of transferrable skills with a proactive attitude and initiative.

Responsibilities

• To manage the waiting staff so that the Personal Wedding Manager can devote his/her time to running an event
• To assist with Rotaring and staffing issues
• To oversee the food and canape service
• To ensure the waiting team have a good knowledge of food and beverages served at each event
• To ensure smooth running of food and canape service
• To participate in all preparation, cleaning down and all waiting duties along with monthly deep cleans
• In the absence of the food and beverage manager, complete a monthly stock take on 1st of every month and ensure the completed spreadsheet is sent to the Venue Manager
